Essential Functions

  • Provides expertise in social media management, identifying trends and opportunities in the digital landscapes, content development, regulatory requirements, tracking and analytics.

  • Develops and maintain an impactful monthly content calendar working closely with corporate communications, brand leads, advocacy, etc. on content mining. Ensures social content is brand compliant and delivers on our key organizational messages and objectives. Maintains a fair and balanced approach with consistent tone and messaging across multiple stakeholders.

  • Creates and writes original content (Tweets and LinkedIn posts, etc.) that relates to our core audiences.

  • Manages our social media management platform (Sprout Social) to ensure that all stakeholders with social media content are represented and scheduled on the corporate channels.

  • Engages in social listening and online conversations to ensure that Eisai is positioned positively. Works with internal stakeholders to craft relevant conversations. Utilizes Sprout Social platform to build out social listening component.

  • Plans and manages the social media review committee meetings (SMRC) – This committee evaluates and ensure new platforms, campaigns and proposals meet our regulatory guidelines and maximize our business objectives and communications goals. Manager will review decks submitted for SMRC to ensure that the request include the pertain information. They will plan the meeting, manage the meeting notes and keep the notes in reference files.

  • Contributes content and insights to Corporate Communications initiatives to further maximize reach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of social media and content development experience preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry (corporate or agency)

  • Proven track record of success in creating, implementing, and evolving a social media strategy for a corporation

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with an innovative and resilient mindset,

  • Positive attitude and the ability to inspire colleagues

  • Ability to juggle priorities and work within a global, matrixed organization

  • Highly collaborative, creative thinker with experience working in a matrix environment and adept at prioritizing competing tasks

  • Strong writing and proofreading skills; ability to work on several concurrent tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment; and project and process management

  • Knowledge and ability to work in Sprout Social or other programming platform

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or related field
